Situated in the exclusive Suspiro del Moro area of Otura our villa has its own large private pool and views across to the Sierra Nevada mountains. It is very well located and very accessible - within just a few minutes you can be in middle of the beautiful city of Granada or lost in miles of undulating countryside !
The villa is tastefully furnished with a blend of modern and rustic furniture, and there are mirrors and pictures throughout. The floors are all tiled and there are radiators in every room (for winter months). And you'll be quite comfortable in the heat of Summer - our unique location means there is no need for air conditioning ! All the windows have roll down shutters.
The open plan lounge has two very comfortable sofas, various soft lighting, a coffee table and occasional tables. There are two full length doors, one of which opens out onto a balcony, both having superb views across to the Sierra Nevada mountains - snow capped for many months of the year. In addition to the radiators there is a log burner for the winter months so you can cosy up on the sofa in front of a real fire !
There is a TV with DVD player and we have a growing selection of English books along with a good collection of our own DVD's.
Sleeping 8, we have two twin bedded rooms, a double bedroom and a kingsize, all of which have quality mattresses. Two of the bedrooms have views across to the mountains. The other two have pool and garden views, with one also having doors opening out onto the terrace. All bedrooms have wardrobes with ample hangers and bedside tables.
We have a large family bathroom with corner bath/shower, toilet, bidet, twin handbasins with marbled surround, mirror, electric points and storage cupboards.
We also have an additional new shower room - very stylish, with walk-in shower, toilet, handbasin and surround with cupboard beneath and mirror above, plus electric point for your shaver/hairdrier and extractor fan.
In the kitchen/diner there is an electric oven and gas hob with extractor, microwave/combi grill, huge American size fridge/freezer with chilled water dispenser, washing machine and tumble drier (for winter lets), iron and board, double sink with tiled worktop surround and ample cupboards plus a good selection of quality crockery and cooking utensils/pots/pans/teatowels/cafetiere/espresso pot/blender etc etc ! And help yourself to our well stocked cupboard of herbs and spices !
The kitchen has patio doors that open out onto the terrace area where we have a big gas barbecue.
The dining area is joined to the kitchen making it a nice family place to eat and relax in, complete with CD music system and double doors leading through to the lounge area.
Outside there is a covered terrace joined to the house with tables and chairs for al-fresco breakfasts and candle lit dinners ! There are further tables and chairs in and around the pool/garden area. A second terrace leads to the pool and garden, gated making it safe for children.
The 'jewel in the crown' (as one of our guests called it !) is the pool - huge ! Along with a shower it is perfect for the serious swimmers being 45 feet long, or simply for splashing about it. Poolside sun loungers are also provided.
There is ample parking outside the villa and a regular bus service to Granada stops at the main entrance. In addition every hour a free mini bus runs from just outside the house into the village.
The location is very peaceful and our neighbours are all Spanish residents. Outside the front of the villa there is a small wooded park area with pine, olive, almond and pomegranate trees. In the little neighbouring park there are also some swings etc for children. The villa is both private and child friendly, being totally enclosed by hedging, with a lockable gate entrance.
